“From September 10th to 12th, the project will include a program with practical art and culture workshops, in addition to the delivery of renovated classrooms, with the donation of notebooks, 3D printers and robotics kits for activities with students from the municipal school system. The project is carried out by Instituto Brasil Solidário, one of the most renowned NGOs in the education sector in Brazil, in partnership with Newave Energia”

Impact on the integral development of students, stimulating creativity and expression, combining training in the education system with a structure that welcomes and provides all the tools for educators to enhance their students’ skills. Creating an environment of social and pedagogical integration between school and community, the project carried out by Instituto Brasil Solidário, in partnership with Newave Energia, arrives in Arinos (MG), bringing training, structural reforms and several activities with free vacancies for students and educators in the region.

Through the Plano Bienal Brasil Solidário, the project has prepared an intense program involving practical theater workshops, puppet theater, creative workshops, photography, painting and drawing, and training in reading mediation, including the renovation of the library, in addition to the collection of 1,000 books already donated to the city, as well as a literary forest, with benches, tables and book houses to promote educational activities. For the educommunication actions, the school also received the donation of 3 cameras to continue the workshop activities.

The training sessions will be held on September 10, 11 and 12, from 8 am to 5 pm, at EM João Gontijo Ferreira, with the support of the Municipal Department of Education in mobilizing and promoting the activities. On the last day of the program, there will be theater, puppet theater, creative workshops and photography presentations promoted by the participants themselves, in an event open to the public, free of charge, inclusive and accessible to educators, pedagogical coordinators, principals, students and technicians from the Municipal Department of Education.

“The project involves several stages of mobilization, training and support for educators to strengthen the proposals of art, culture and encouragement of reading in the school curriculum. With the new spaces, educators will have the opportunity to innovate and enhance the creativity of students, also taking advantage of what will be worked on in the training. We will present the construction of literary spaces, the making of marionettes and puppets using recycled materials that are easily accessible in the community, involving practices that can be replicated inside and outside the classroom”, highlights the President of the Instituto Brasil Solidário, Luis Salvatore.

Throughout the program, many opportunities to work with art, culture and encourage reading in a sustainable way will be presented, using recycled, reused and easily accessible materials in the community. The training sessions will present simple, replicable ideas that have already been multiplied in 26 states and more than 400 cities throughout Brazil.
